Hi! My name is Jason Che. I was born in Honolulu, HI, and raised in Tokyo, Japan, before moving to the U.S. for college.

I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Southern California, majoring in Economics. While I enjoy my academics, my true passion lies in FOOD!

I started cooking around the age of 10, helping my mother prep for dinner. I loved her cooking style — taking whatever was in the fridge and turning it into a delicious meal — and that approach made me fall in love with food as a whole.

Not long after, I began watching cooking videos online and grew curious about what I could create on my own. At first, it was simple dishes, but over time, I came to love the creativity and depth of the cooking process. The involvement of all five senses, combined with the need to trust your instincts, brought me excitement and quickly became a creative outlet in my life.

I know that creating a sophisticated dish often takes years of professional practice, but why not try my best right now? I may not have earned respect or a reputation in the restaurant industry yet, but I have a dream and a genuine passion for this craft. Experience is something I look forward to gaining in the near future, and in the meantime, I can stand by how I feel about food with full confidence.
